Booklet of Portraits
Sophomore Year: Fall
For this project, I designed a portrait booklet exploring the relationship between image and typography. The book features portraits of five individuals who have personal significance to me, combining photography, interviews, and thoughtful layout design. Each subject is presented in a full spread that includes a black-and-white portrait, their signature, full name and nickname, and responses to interview questions. The final piece consists of a minimum 12-page interior booklet with a custom cover, designed using a consistent grid system, intentional typographic hierarchy, and a limited color palette. The project was printed, bound, and presented as a fully assembled physical book alongside digital files.
